Abiodun Emile Pratt

Abiodun Emile Pratt, born on December 31, 1949, in Ibadan, Nigeria, passed away on May 31, 2023 in Parma, Ohio. 

Abiodun was a loving father to Jemila Pratt, Neema Oliver, Francisca Taylor, and Tungi Taylor. He became a grandfather to Kelsey Oliver, Kennedy Oliver, Robert Mathias Oliver, and O'Asys Taylor. Abiodun is also survived by his siblings Melissa Toluwope Muhlemann and Faguda Iris Coleman as well as his nephews Marc Muhlemann and Naib Iscandari and nieces Regina Adé Koroma,  Naleen Legg, Marissa Johnson. He was predeceased by his parents Elwin Pratt and Agnes Pratt, brother Elwin Akintunde Pratt, and sister Eileen Olubukunola Iscandari. Abiodun will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was a graduate of The Prince of Wales School in Freetown, Sierra Leone.  He attended Howard University and graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration in Kent, Ohio.  He was an employee of Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority for many years and worked as a Compliance Analyst at PK Management until he retired.

Abiodun enjoyed watching football and basketball. He was also an avid fan of reggae music and spent many hours listening to it. One of Abiodun’s favorite pastimes was indulging in a variety West African foods.

Services for Abiodun will be held at the Slone & Co Life Celebration Center at 3556 W 130th St in Cleveland, Ohio on June 7th, 2023. Viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m.
