Betty Jo Allen

Betty Jo Allen, 78, of Isaban, WV, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018, at her residence. Betty was born February 22, 1940 in Panther, WV, a daughter of the late Sidney and Pearl Browning Blevins. She was a homemaker and enjoyed going to church. She attended the Pathway Baptist Church in Cleveland, OH and was a member of the War Eagle Church of God. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, William Ray Allen, one son, Douglas Blevins; four sisters, Geraldine Lively, Beulah Lester, Shirley Goodman, and Phyllis Ratliff; and one great grandchild, Braiden Compton. Survivors include one son, Teddy Stanley and Darlene of War Eagle, WV; one daughter, Barbara Birchfield of Cleveland, OH; six grandchildren, April Blevins, Douglas Blevins, Jr., Sheena Compton, Lora Justice, Marlene Perry and Benny Sanchez; eleven great grandchildren; three brothers, Lloyd Blevins of Cleveland, OH, Clayton Blevins of Princeton, WV, and Bill Blevins of Princeton, WV; and one sister Peggy Blevins of Panther, WV. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 20, 2018, at 2 o’clock with Reverend Pete Underwood officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow Friday, September 21, 2018 in West Park Cemetery in Cleveland, OH. with Graveside Services at 1 0'clock .  Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. Friends may visit with the family Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 12 noon until the time of services at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger.
