Carl Dexter Gates

Carl Dexter Gates, 71, passed away November 25,2018 at home peacefully in his sleep. 
He was born September 2,1947 in Elmira, NY, but made Cleveland, OH his home for more than 30 years. He made a living in Cleveland as a flooring installer, taking pride in numerous projects across the city. 
Carl was a loving family man who worked hard for that family everyday of his life. He spent the last 42 years with his loving and devoted wife Marlyn “Sis” Gates (Née Harrison). Together they raised a large family full of Love, Laughter, and Friendship. 
Besides his loving wife, Carl’s passing will be deeply mourned by his Children Angela Mahone (Brian), Raymond Gates (Crystal), Richard Gates(Renee), Rajeanna Stakes(Bob), Carl Jr, Christina(Russel),and Gloria(Jim). He will forever be missed by his 27 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. 
Family and friends are welcome Friday, November 30, 2018 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Bican Bros. Funeral Home 5215 Fleet Ave., with funeral services at 8:00pm.
