Carmen M. Diaz

Carmen M. Diaz, age 85, passed away on September 27, 2021.  She was born on June 17, 1936 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico to the late Jesus and Ana Maria (nee Agosto) Arroyo.

Carmen is survived by her beloved children, Sonia E. Figueroa, Madeline Rodriguez, Carmen E. Laboy, Jorge Santaella, Jr. and Orlando Santaella, dear siblings, Sixta Maria Guzman, Luz Cordero, Elias Agosto, Jesus Arroyo, Jose Agosto, Rafael Arroyo, Ramon Arroyo, cherished grandchildren, Hector M. Torres, Carlos Rodriguez, Jr., Ivelisse M. Laboy, Zulma Rodriguez, Anthony D. Santaella, Sonia L. Laboy, Jackelyn A. Rodriguez, Isaiah J. Santaella, Orlando Santaella, Jr., Helen Trea Santaella, Jorge A. Laboy, Ferdinand Santaella, Angelo Santaella and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jorge Santaella, son, Ferdinand Santaella, siblings, Carmen Iris Agosto, Irma Arroyo, Migdalia Figueroa and Roberto Arroyo, grandson, Carlos Laboy, Jr. and granddaughter, Jaqueline Torres.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors, 13115 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44111, where closing prayers and reflections will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.   Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Please wear a mask for everyone's safety.
