Carol S. Liggett, age 79, passed away on July 14, 2024. She was born on August 20, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio, to her loving parents, the late Joseph and Frances (nee Whipple) Urban. Beloved mother of Charles Liggett Jr. (Bernadette), Suzanne Reegan, and Bonnie Wiley (Andrew). Cherished grandmother of John Liggett, Katie Wittenberg (John), Riley McMackin, Reece Reegan, Alicia Gregory, and Calvin Wiley. Dear sister of Joseph Urban (Nancy) and Roberta Osborne (Robert). Treasured aunt to a host of nieces and nephews.
Carol's education began at St. Stephen Grade School in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended West Technical High School and graduated in 1962. She continued her education at Dyke College where she earned a diploma as an Honor graduate of Advanced Stenography in 1964. She applied her education by working as a legal secretary for some of the top firms in the Cleveland area. To this day, her skills at shorthand and typewriting are memorable and impressive.
As an extremely loving and skillful single mom, Carol worked hard to provide a comfortable life for her three children. She blessed them with a safe home in Westlake, a Catholic education, and fun family road trips adventuring across the country. Carol was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Whether she was enjoying a McDouble, apple pie, or lobster, Carol was a foodie, and she loved to wash her meals down with a cold Coke.
Carol will always be remembered for her devout faith, spiritual strength, and resolute demeanor. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
