Celestino Aponte, Jr.

Celestino Aponte, Jr. age 72, passed away on September 10, 2021.

He was born on June 28, 1949 in Bronx, New York to the late Celestino Aponte and Tomasa Morales.

Celestino is survived by his beloved wife, Valentina Aponte, children, Pedro, Celestino, Samuel, Maria Inez, Anthony H. and Nivia G. Aponte, and his cherished 18 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Aponte.

Celestino was a U.S. Military Navy Veteran, a wonderful husband, and an amazing father who was loved by many! He enjoyed sports but his favorite was boxing. His passion was Salsa music, playing congas and Spanish dancing. In his downtime you would find him watching suspense, military, and thriller but his favorite show was Law & Order.

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors, 13115 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44111.  Burial will take place on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio at 12:30 p.m.
