Deborah Sue Podmore (nee Sutphin) passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2023, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was 68 years old.
She was born on August 12, 1954, in Buffalo, New York, to her parents, John and Eleanor (nee Schritchfield) Sutphin. She was the sister of Evelyn, John, Don and stepsister of Richard, Eleanor, and Roger.
Deborah's love story began on September 14, 1977, when she married the love of her life, the late William L. "Pod" Podmore, and she was blessed with five children, William, Jessica (Adam Rowland), Jamie, Leila, and Richard (Trisha). Between her five children, they then blessed her with 17 grandchildren, whom she adored.
Family and friends are welcomed beginning on THURSDAY, MARCH 2ND FROM 6-8 PM AT SLONE AND CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 13115 LORAIN AVENUE, CLEVELAND, OHIO for the visitation. On Friday, March 3rd from 4-5 PM and 6-7 PM there will also be additional visitation.
Celebration of life services will be held also on Friday, March 3rd from 5-6 and 7-8 PM. All are invited to attend and encouraged to share their memories and stories of Deborah.
Interment will take place Monday, March 6th at 1:00 PM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery where Deborah will be laid to rest with her husband. Please meet no later than 12:45 PM.
