Donald Richard Briggs, Sr., passed away on March 7, 2023, in Garfield Heights, Ohio. He was 80 years old.
He was born on July 15, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio, to his parents, Chet and Julie Briggs.
Donald was the beloved husband of the late Cheryl A.(nee Barker); loving father of Raymond Barker, Madonna Waddell, Michelle (Mike), Donald, Jr., and the late Jackie; devoted grandfather of Cheryl (Anthony), James (Tonya), Destiny, Wesley, Anna, Amanda, Harley, Adrienne, and Danyeal; special great-grandfather of Elizabeth, Jasalyn, Scottie, Anthony, Amber, Ariya, and Sophia; kindest great-great-grandfather of Adalee; uncle to James, Danny, Julie, Dennis, Kevin and the late Jerry; dearest brother of Ronald, Danny, Bud, and Evelyn.
Donald served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army and leaves behind his military brothers Joseph Clemons and Doug Mayerhofer. Donald's death reunites him him his other military brother, Arthur Becerra.
Family and friends are welcomed TUESDAY, MARCH 14TH FROM 2-6 PM AT SLONE AND CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 13115 LORAIN AVENUE where Veterans Services will be held at approximately 5PM. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 15th at 10:00 AM. at the funeral home. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
