Doris R. Polander

Doris R. Polander, (nee Cook) 74, passed away on July 14, 2021 at Southwest General Hospital, Middleburg Heights.

She was born on January 21, 1947 in Davin, West Virginia to the late Ralph and Frieda (nee Collins) Cook.  She loved being involved in her church St. Thomas More and charity work.

Doris is survived by her loving children, John and Ralph Polander; grandchildren, Hillary, Ralphie, Johnny, Jake and Brent Polander; siblings, Shirley Goad, Wanda Hatfield and Tyrone Cook; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John F. Polander,  parents and her son, Russell Ray Polander.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 p.m. at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors, 13115 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44111. Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Parish, 4170 N. Amber Drive, Brooklyn, Ohio, 44144.  Burial will follow at OWRNC in Seville, Ohio.
