Doris Pooley was called home on March 19, 2021, at the age of 92, surrounded by the love of her family. Mrs. Pooley was born Doris Mae Petty on May 23, 1928, to John and Julia (Romantic) Petty in Uniontown Pennsylvania. Mrs. Pooley experienced and enjoyed so many things over the last 92 years. Growing up in Pennsylvania she enjoyed horseback riding, ice and roller skating, air shows, auto races, and helping care for the livestock on her grandfather's farm. In September 1947, at the age of 19, she moved to Cleveland, Ohio with her parents and younger brother where she would live the rest of her life. After moving to Cleveland she started taking flying lessons but would never get to become licensed to fly due to only making 75 cents an hour at that time but she enjoyed the lessons she received. In 1950 she married Donald Pooley and had her first child, Donald in 1952, then in 1963 she had her daughter Lynn. She loved her children so much, they were her world. She loved to travel and see different places, attend concerts, especially The Beach Boys, and boy did she make some amazing homemade candies, desserts, and BBQ ribs. Mrs. Pooley is survived by her daughter Lynn, her grandchildren Donald Jr., Star, John (Meggan), Justin, and Sarah. Her great-grandchildren Owen Pooley, Asantai Taylor, Landin Pooley, Liam Pooley, Aaliyah Pooley, Sierra Foster Pooley, and Marcus Pooley. 

She was preceded by her husband Donald Pooley, her son Donald Sr. her parents John and Julia Petty, her brother Donald Petty, and her great grand-daughter Haley Pooley. 

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, OH 44111. Interment Brooklyn Hts. Cemetery.
