Edith L. Hillegas, age 75, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 4, 1948, in Cumberland, Maryland, to the late John Snyder Sr. and Anna Snyder (nee. Stoker).

Edith was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She shared a beautiful life journey with her beloved husband Kenneth Hillegas Jr. Together, they nurtured a loving family and created cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Edith was a remarkable mother to her children Cheryl Chrosniak (Michael Chrosniak Sr.), Brenda Hillegas (Daniel Brown Sr.), Kimberly Lacey (Alexander Lacey), and Robin Hillegas. Her dedication to her family was evident in every aspect of her life, as she embraced each role with unwavering love and support.

Edith's legacy extended to her role as a grandmother of 10 and a great grandmother of 19. Her warmth and affection brought joy to every generation, creating a strong bond that will continue to thrive in the stories and memories shared by her descendants.
