Edward Reynolds passed away on August 14, 2023, at the age of 83. He was born on June 14, 1940, to his parents Algin Sr. and Eythel Reynolds in Orgas, West Virginia.
A devoted father, Edward leaves behind a legacy of love through his children: Calium Reynolds, Randy Reynolds (Betsy), Eddie Reynolds, and Caitlyn Pressler. His role as a grandfather and great grandfather brought him immense joy, and he leaves behind a family tree rooted in his wisdom and compassion.
Edward was a caring brother to Joan Taylor, Carol Spencer, Alice Reynolds, and Larry Reynolds. His presence in their lives was a source of guidance and warmth, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever. His extended family of nieces and nephews remember him as a kind-hearted and supportive uncle.
Edward's service to his country was marked by his dedication in the Army for 3 1/2 years. His commitment to his fellow soldiers and his nation showcased his unwavering sense of duty and honor.
A testament to his strength and resilience, Edward proudly achieved 35 years of sobriety. His journey to sobriety not only transformed his own life, but also enabled him to become a guiding light for others facing similar challenges. His involvement in Alcoholics Anonymous was a true testament to his character, as he selflessly sponsored and aided countless individuals on their paths to recovery.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday, August 21, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111, where services will be held at 5:30 p.m.
