Elizabeth (Betty) Pedace, a long-time resident of Lakewood, Ohio, passed away on January 8, 2018. Born June 7, 1917 in Brockway, PA, she was the daughter of the late Maggie Giovanelli Manning and Ponziano Manning. Betty was a member of St. Clement Parish for over 60 years, and loved to travel and play cards; but her greatest love was spending time with family and friends and cooking Italian meals for everyone to enjoy. She was able to live independently in her own home until one month before her 98th birthday. She was a volunteer in fund-raising activities at St. Joseph Academy in Cleveland for many years. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert, two brothers, Matthew Manning and Ponziano Manning, both of Brockway, PA, and two sisters, Thelma Mann of Ridgway, PA and Josephine Trivisono of Brockway, PA. She is survived by two daughters, Liz Sponseller (Jack) of Cleveland and Terri Pedace-Burns (Patrick) of Lakewood; two grandchildren, Debbie Toth (Brian) and John Sponseller, and one great-grandchild, Kristen Toth. The family would like to thank the dedicated nurses and staff of the Crestmont North Nursing Facility for all the patient and loving care they provided to Betty over the past few years.
