Elizabeth "Pinka" Pankiewicz

Elizabeth Pankiewicz (“Pinka”), age 91, passed away on October 17, 2022. Beloved spouse of the late John Pankiewicz Jr. Loving mother of Denise Delgado (Samuel) and Debra Simon (deceased). Treasured Baba of Tito Molina, Deidre Delgado, Mary (Sonny) Tucker, and Great-Baba of Francisco and Taia Molina,  Luke, Zachary, Grayson, and William Tucker. Dear sister of six brothers and five sisters and a fun Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Cherished daughter of the late George and Mary Westich.  

Elizabeth ‘Pinka’ Pankiewicz 

Born Elizabeth Westich, she was given the name Pinka by the Dr who delivered her and it stuck.  She was 1 of 12 children born and raised in a small town in Pennsylvania.  A country girl at heart and a coal miner’s daughter.

She was a woman of many talents, and a hard worker.  She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, and she loved the Lord. She loved bread! and spending time with her family.  She loved to laugh and play games.  She enjoyed taking drives to take in the beauty of the leaves in the fall.  She was blessed to have had a full life, traveling around Europe, having lived in Sardinia and Gaeta, Italy while her husband Ski served in the Navy.  Upon returning to the states, they resided in Florida.  She loved flowers and working in her yard.  She discovered St Augustine and it became her favorite place to share with family and friends.  After the death of her husband, she came to live with her daughter and family.  And we are so thankful to have had her with us.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 29th, 2022 at 3:00 pm at the NorthCoast Baptist Church located at 2051 Quail St., Lakewood, OH 44107.
