Everett Benny Perry, 97, of Midkiff, WV, departed this life on May 30, 2021 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV.
He was born April 10, 1924 in Warfield, KY, the son of the late Nathan Perry and Mary Jane Jordan Perry.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Nellie Perry, three sons, Jimmy Perry, Harold Marcum and Charles Perry, one granddaughter, Missy Farmer, one daughter-in-law, Helen Perry, nine siblings and his father and mother-in-law, Jim & Bertha Muncey.
Benny was a World War II Veteran and was awarded the ASIATIC-Pacific Theater Ribbon with 1 Bronze star, the Good Conduct Ribbon, and World War II Victory Medal. He loved traveling, playing music, going to church, spending time with family and friends, but most of all he loved reading his bible.
Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Brenda (Ron) Robertson, Linda Hyatt and Mary Perry; three sons, Glenn Perry, Roger (Angela) Perry, and Tommy (Nina) Proffitt; twenty two grandchildren; a host of great and great-great grandchildren; and his church family at East Fork Freewill Baptist Church and Good Hope Freewill Baptist Church.
Visitation in Ohio will be on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from Noon until services at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Freewill Baptist Church 3354 Fulton Rd. Cleveland, OH 44109. Interment West Park Cemetery
