Francis C. "Digger" Bican

Francis C. “Digger” Bican, 81, of Garfield Heights passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. He was born October 19, 1936 in Cleveland to the late William and Mary Bican. Beloved husband of 59 years to Carol (nee Vank); loving father of Denise Jendre (Andrew), Tim Bican (Betty) and Kelly Tarnowski (Jeff); dear grandfather of Kevin Vencl, Valerie Basch (Ryan), Jason Jendre (Lindy), Erik Jendre (Sara), Luke Tarnowski (fiancé Sarah), Allyson Bican, Travis Tarnowski, Holly Bican, Sam Tarnowski and Nathan Tarnowski; great-grandfather of Aria and Jolee Basch. Dearest brother of Bernice Roark (deceased), Rita Zack (deceased), William (deceased) wife Joyce and brother-in-law of Lorre and Art Zygmunt; dear uncle and friend to many. Digger loved his dog Molly as well as all dogs throughout his life. Visitation Friday, August 24, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the FORTUNA FUNERAL HOME 7076 Brecksville Rd., Independence. Prayers at the funeral home on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
