Fred W. Haas

Fred W. Haas, 83 of Elyria, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Hospice of the Western Reserve after a lengthy illness. Fred was born to Fred and Anna Haas Sr. in Cleveland, Ohio on May 3, 1935.

Fred graduated from Cleveland High School. He was a member of St. Joe's Catholic in Amherst, OH. After retiring from the U.S. Postal Service as a Post Office Clerk, he earned his private pilots license. He enjoyed, flying, boating, fishing, motorcycling, camping, and most of all spending time with family.

Fred is survived by his loving wife, MaryRose (Emery) Haas whom he wed June 8, 1957; son, Donald (Lynne) Haas; daughters, Linda (Jim) Haas-Manley, Joann (John) Sinclair; grandchildren, Brandon, Jessica, James, Samantha, Joshua and Michael.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Donald Haas and his parents.

Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday April 6, 2019 at St. Joseph Church, 200 St Joseph Dr, Amherst, OH 44001
