Geraldine Reed

Geraldine Reed, age 84, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born on November 24, 1940, in Birmingham, Alabama, to her loving parents, the late Fletcher Reed and Bessie Williams.

She was a devoted mother to Bessie M. Reed, Harold Reed, Vanessa Reed (Clifton Morrison), and the late Lawrence Reed. A cherished grandmother, she leaves behind Akeya, Shanayian, Verlishia, Dontlee (deceased), Ramon (Jessica), Brenton, twins Synetra & Lynetra, Tracy, and Nate. She was also a loving great-grandmother to a host of great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy. 

Geraldine was a dear sister to her beloved twin, Earlene Moss (Ralph) (both deceased), Velma Moss (Robert), Samuel Reed, Mary Backey (Daniel) (both deceased), and Jerome Reed (Mitzi). She was a treasured aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored. 

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 2 p.m. until time of Homegoing Service at 3 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Riverside Cemetery 3607 Pearl Rd., Cleveland, OH 44109 (please meet at gates by 10:45 a.m.).
