Glenda Janis Harris

Glenda J. Harris passed away on June 17, 2023, in Cleveland, Ohio, at the age of 71. She was born on November 12, 1951, in Roba, Alabama, to William and Carrie Harris.

Glenda J. Harris was a proud graduate of Shaw High School in East Cleveland, having completed her studies in 1970. Her time at Shaw High School was marked by her dedication to education and her commitment to personal growth. Glenda's professional journey led her to a fulfilling career at Blue Cross Blue Shield, where she dedicated 25 years of her life. Her work at the company exemplified her strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to excellence. Glenda's contributions to the organization left a lasting impact and earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues.

Glenda was a loving and nurturing mother to her three children, Tonya Harris (Deceased), Lashone Simpson (Ernest), and Tammi Collins. She held a special place in the hearts of her family and was adored as a grandmother to India Harris, Marcel Garrett Sr., Darnell Ingram, Breanna King, Aiyniah Pritchett, Cameron Jackson, and Damien Smith.

Throughout her life, Glenda shared a special bond with her siblings. She was a loving sister to Carl Harris and shared countless memories with him. Sadly, her sister, Geraldine Harris, departed from this world on the same day as Glenda. The loss of two dear siblings on the same day is a profound tragedy that leaves family and friends with heavy hearts.

Glenda and Geraldine shared a special bond, rooted in their upbringing and the love they had for each other. While Glenda's presence is deeply missed, the memories and moments they shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew them.

Glenda was also a beloved aunt and great aunt, bringing warmth and affection to her extended family. Her kind and compassionate nature touched the lives of many, and her selflessness was evident in the care and support she provided to those around her.
