Gordon Lilly Jr.

Gordon Lilly, Jr., age 78, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024. Born on June 23, 1946, in Big Creek, West Virginia, Gordon was the beloved son of the late Gordon, Sr., and Lona (née Moore) Lilly. He was the cherished husband of Fannie M. Mack-Lilly.

Gordon was a devoted father to Clifford Lilly (Tammy), Gordon Phillip, Janella Baker (Joseph Goss), Daniel (Meggan), and a loving stepfather to Fanique and Terrance. He was a proud and cherished grandfather to Brendan, Madeline, & Jillian Baker, Evan & Peyton Lilly, Wyatt Goss, T.K., T.J., and London. Gordon was also the dear brother of the late Ernestine Workman, Grethel Lilly, Kermit, and Billy. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Gordon had a passion for old western movies, enjoyed gabbing with neighbors, spending time outdoors, and gardening. He took great pride in making his mother’s cornbread recipe, a family favorite. He also liked to take his chances with instant lotto tickets. 

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 10:15 a.m., at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Rd. Seville, OH 44273 (please meet at cemetery by 10:00 a.m.).
