Gregory Bruno Mascio, age 78, passed away on December 14, 2024. Born on September 1, 1946, in Cook County, Illinois, Gregory was the beloved husband of Robin (nee Wollam) Mascio. Together for 17 years, their bond was unbreakable, and their love for each other was immeasurable.
He was the cherished father of Nicolette (nee Mascio) Harper, Ashley Duncan, and Shane (Abigail) Fitz; loving grandfather of Alexandria (nee Harper) Teachout (Brian), Charlotte Fitz, Andrew, Joey, Nicholas, Sonny, Eddie Mascio; and proud great-grandfather of Cash Teachout, along with many other beloved grandchildren. Gregory will be fondly remembered by his siblings, nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
A proud U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran, Gregory dedicated 25 years as a member of the Local 310 labor union and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. A successful entrepreneur, he co-owned and operated three bars over 20 years. Gregory was also an animal lover, a devout Catholic, and a faithful member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, where he served as an usher and found joy in his church community.
Gregory’s warmth, dedication, and love for his family and faith will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 1 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m, officiated by Fr. John Pfeifer, at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. The service will be followed by Military Honors. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
