Heather Michelle Smith passed away on June 25, 2023, at the age of 44. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and faith. Born on January 30, 1979, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Heather was the daughter of Chester Allen Smith III and Sharon Kay Smith.
Heather was a loving sister to John Wesley Smith and Shawn Ryan Smith, and she adored her role as an aunt to Gabriel, Joshua, Zachary, and Benjamin Smith. She found joy in spending time with her family and embraced the special moments she shared with each of them.
She held a special place in her heart for her grandparents, Mabel Whitmer and Chet Smith Jr., who provided her with unwavering support and guidance throughout her life. Heather also cherished the relationships she had with her extended family, including her uncles and aunts: Raymond and Joy Miller, Dennis and Gloria George, John and Barbara Whitmer, Jerome and Becky Johnson, Mike and Susan Ann Page, David Timothy Smith, and Mark Wilson Smith.
Heather had a beautiful voice and a passion for singing. She found solace and inspiration in music, which led her to become a valued member of the choir at Grace Church in Middleburg Heights. Her dedication to her faith was evident in her commitment to the church community. Heather's devotion to her spiritual beliefs extended beyond the church walls, as she used her talents to create Christian videos, which she lovingly shared online to inspire and uplift others.
In addition to her musical pursuits, Heather found solace in the pages of books, especially the bible. Reading was a cherished pastime, allowing her to explore new worlds and expand her knowledge.
Professionally, Heather dedicated 12 years of her life to Giant Eagle, where she worked diligently and formed lasting connections with her colleagues. She approached her work with dedication and a genuine desire to assist others, leaving a positive impact on those she encountered.
Heather's kind and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will forever be remembered for her unwavering faith, her joyful singing, and her selfless acts of kindness. Heather's legacy of love and devotion to her family and community will continue to inspire and uplift those whose lives she touched.
