He is survived by his sisters Phyllis, Mary (Carr) Dublin, Cora in Australia and his brothers: Sean (Rose) in Akron, PA; Finbar (the late Shirley) in Australia and Tony (Peggy) in Dublin. Preceded in death by his brothers Mihal, Patrick, and Vincent. Also, his sister in law Agnes Kunz (nee Erpf) and Heiner Kunz. Numerous nieces and nephews in Ireland, United States, and Australia. Mike went to Catholic University in Washington D.C. after leaving Ireland and received a B.A. Shortly after that he was inducted into the Army (101 Airborne) and proudly became a U.S. citizen. Once he was discharged, he moved to New York and worked for Fireman’s Fund. In 1963 he met and shortly after that married Elisabeth on October 12, 1963. Late 1964 he, Elisabeth, and tiny Audrey had to move to Switzerland (Elisabeth’s home country) due to Elisabeth’s lack of a work permit. In 1966 Jennifer was born, and the family moved back to the US in 1968. First in New York later in Los Angeles, where Maureen was born in 1971, Mike worked as an International Management Consultant. He was transferred to Switzerland to take care of the European subsidiaries. However, we wanted our children to grow up in the US and returned to Chicago 1976 where he worked until his retirement. Upon the birth of our first grandchild, we moved to Cleveland where he enjoyed lots of friends, the library and his love of his church. After a devastating illness, he went home to heaven on November 4, 2017, at 4:46 am. May he rest in peace. Mike, you will never be forgotten by those whose life you touched.
