James embodied a deep passion for life. His joy emanated through entertaining and hosting lively gatherings for his cherished friends and family. Dancing brought him immense happiness and held a profound significance in his life.

In the realm of love, James was privileged to share 23 remarkable years with Lemare Mason, whom he adored deeply. Their union in marriage for seven years overflowed with enduring love and countless cherished memories. He leaves behind his beloved husband Lemare Mason and is also survived by his adored parents, Joyce Ann and Randall Perkins. His father, James Blakeney, Sr., awaits him in serenity in the afterlife.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, April 5th from 5-7 p.m. at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center, 3556 West 130th Street, Cleveland, OH 44111. The evening will conclude with Closing Prayers and Reflections at 7 PM as we gather to celebrate the beautiful life of James Blakeney, Jr. May his spirit continue to shine brightly in our hearts forevermore.
