James Anthony Jackson

June 22, 2000 — September 19, 2020

We are very saddened by the loss of a son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend, James Anthony Jackson, who lost his lifelong fight with Asthma on 9-19-2020. His light was dimmed far too soon and we all feel the pain of his passing. Sensitive, caring, loyal, gentle, shy, and hard-working, his absence leaves a hole that will only be filled by our loving memories of the ways he made us laugh- the caring he showed to his family and friends - the very uniqueness his presence brought to our lives. He’s so very loved and missed by his family.

Survived by his mother, Julie Smith (Cleveland, OH), sisters Tai Smith (Cleveland, OH), Jasmine Torres (Cleveland, OH), Autumn Smith (Monterey, CA), godfather Darryl Moore (Cleveland, Oh) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

His dream was to become a mechanic and eventually open his own shop- a dream he was working towards by going to school full-time, in addition to working at Ohio City Burrito for the past 3 years where his goofy antics brought laughter to his co-workers.In his freetime, James liked to listen to music, drive, work on cars, play video games, hang out with his friends and family, and travel.

James, who has always been a giver who cared so much for those around him, has continued giving even in his passing as a registered organ donor.
