James Joseph Russ

James Joseph Russ, age 80, passed away Sunday September 29th after a prolonged illness. Beloved son of the late Edward F. Russ, Sr. and Catherine (nee Golinski ) . Youngest brother of Edward (deceased) (Connie) and Thomas W. (deceased) (Arlene deceased). Dearest brother in law of Larry Pamer (Patricia deceased) and Geraldine (deceased). Loving father of Catherine Flis (Marty), Chris (Laura), Patrick (Susan), David (Lisa) and Matthew. Grandfather of ten great grandfather of one. Uncle and great uncle. James was a St. Ignatius High School class of 1957 graduate and a John Carroll University class of 1961 graduate. He became an elementary school teacher at Our Lady of Good Counsel (Mary Queen of Peace ) and remained a  lifelong Old Brooklyn resident. He retired from Sears Roebuck Co. after nearly thirty years as an automotive service advisor . He was a passionate Cleveland pro sports fan who enjoyed reading and the outdoors and his granddog Apollo (deceased). Private services were held.
