Janet Lynn Coddington

Janet Lynn Coddington, age 55, passed away on May 15, 2024. Born on March 13, 1969, in Cleveland, Ohio, to James Sr. and Phelena (nee Rickard) Coddington, Janet was a beloved and integral part of her family and community.

Janet was a devoted mother to her daughter Ashley Coddington and a cherished grandmother to her granddaughter Ava Gallo. She was a dear sister to Bonnie Federico (Mike), Connie Coddington, James Coddington Jr., and the late Diane Martinez (Tony). She was also a treasured aunt to Justin James (Jenni), Matthew James (Jessica), Courtney Martinez, Lindsey Martinez, Eddie Sherwood, Whitney Martinez, Bryce Sherwood, Lenah Sherwood, and many great nieces and nephews.

Janet had a passion for shopping and baking, activities that brought her joy and allowed her to express her creativity and love for those around her. Her warm, caring nature and her delicious baked treats will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Holy Cross Cemetery 14609 Brookpark Rd. Brook Park, OH 44142. (Please meet at gates by 10:45 a.m.)
