Jayden Baez

Jayden Baez, loving son of Angelic Gonzalez (mother), Kalif Baez (Father), Anthony “Tony” Boothe (step-father); adoring brother of Eyana Boothe.  He was born on September 23, 2006 in Chicago, Illinois and passed at the age of 16 on Friday, January 13, 2023.

He was surround by a wonderful family that included his grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and fellow martial arts students, who loved and cared for him dearly.

Jayden was one of the best big brothers, who adored his baby sister, Eyana. They may have needed their space 😊, but the love they shared was unbreakable.

To know Jayden was a blessing. He attended Albert Einstein Academy in Lakewood, and was a wonderful student, loved by many. In his free time, you could find Jayden practicing martial arts with the Junior Guardian Martial Arts program; something that always kept him strong and determined.

Jayden was one of the most well-mannered teenagers you could ever meet. He was always willing to help his family in any way he could, and with a smile.   

Jayden’s charm was not only in his beautiful smile, but could also be found in his cooking skills. He was the one that would always be in the kitchen helping his mom, in order to perfect his own skills.

Jayden, we thank you every day for striving to become the man your mom always wanted you to be. Gone too soon, we know – but we promise to keep you with us every day, and we will continue to keep you present in Eyana’s life. We will cherish, love, and miss you forever.    

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, January 22, 2023, from 2 to 7 p.m., at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center 3556 W. 130th St. Cleveland, OH 44111. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 23, 2023, at 11 a.m., at Saint Michael Archangel Roman Catholic Church 3114 Scranton Rd. Cleveland, OH 44109. Interment West Park Cemetery.
