John Michael Capek, Sr.

John M. Capek Sr., born September 3, 1950, passed away unexpectedly March 8th in Cleveland, Ohio.  John was very well known and loved.  He was the son of Daniel Sr. (deceased) and Laverne (deceased).  Brother to Amy, Daniel Jr. (deceased), and Philip (deceased).  Beloved father of John Jr. (Tina).  Grandfather to Christina, Bethany, Adrianna, John III, and Billie.  Great grandfather to Noah.  Nephew of Walter (deceased), Henry (deceased), Carol "Sue" (deceased) and Thomas.  Uncle to Jennifer, Jeffery Sr., Constantine, Adam Sr., Kevin and Kyle.  Great uncle to Todd, Austin, Trevor, Adam Jr., and Jeffery Jr.

John was a decorated Army veteran serving in Vietnam as a Sergeant, 11B (Infantry), 1st Calvary Division.  Post service he worked as a Teamster in Local 436 until he retired.  

Family and friends are welcome Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 4:00-8:00pm at the Bican Bros. Funeral Home 5215 Fleet Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44105 where funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 11:00am.  Interment to follow at Brooklyn Hts. Cemetery, where Mr. Capek will receive full military honors.
