Jose V. Hernandez, age 52, passed away on May 6, 2022, born in Cleveland, Ohio, to his loving parents Vidalina Laboy Quinones and the late Jamie Hernandez Roman. Jose (Cheito), was known and loved throughout the northeast region as one of the top bass players, playing his bass with famous artists such as Tito Puente, Tito Nieves and many more. His musical influence in the Cleveland Latin community stretches five decades, starting at 4yrs old, with a broom in the bathroom, to becoming a musical director to many of the bands he played with, second only to the love of his children.
