Joseph Patrick Vealey, age 65, passed away on October 14, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Patricia Ann (nee. Dziedzic) Vealey, his mother, Daisey (nee. Turner) Vealey, and his brother, Jeff Vealey. Joseph leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories and was a devoted father to Joseph, Ronda (Dennis) Groppi, and Ronald K. Crawford. He was also a proud grandfather of Lany (Shawn) McClure, Dusti, Brianna, Destiny, Joey, and great-grandfather of Olivia, Niko, Harper, Avah, Amiyah, Giovanni, and Jahsiah.
Preceding him in death was father, Scotty Arthur Vealey, and his sister, Anne (Doug) Perry.
Joseph dedicated years of service as the Recording Secretary of Machinist Union Local 439, making a lasting impact on the community. A member of Hillview Baptist Church in Parma, Ohio, his faith was a guiding force. Joseph also expressed his passion for music as a guitarist in the Blue Grass Gospel Group, originally starting as the Gospel Four.
Friends are welcome on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7:30 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111.
Services will be officiated by Pastor Frank Brown.
