Karen E. Johnson

Karen E. Johnson, age 71, passed away on August 29, 2024. She was born on November 24, 1952, in Cleveland, Ohio, to her loving parents, the late Clifford E. Johnson and Mazola Mitchum Johnson. Karen was the dear sister of Edna J. Johnson-Lopez (Alberto), Alan S. Johnson (Donna), and the late Clifford E. Johnson II.

Karen was a loving mother to her daughter, Simone E. Johnson-Morgan, who sadly preceded her in death in March 2013. Simone's husband, David Morgan, also passed away in April 2017. Despite these profound losses, Karen found solace in the enduring love she shared with Lewis Daniel. He was her devoted companion for over 50 years, visiting her every Saturday for nearly five hours, bringing her joy and comfort. 

Karen dedicated many years as a beloved neighborhood babysitter, known for her warm and caring nature. In her younger years, she enjoyed going out with friends and, as she got older, cherished the company of friends over coffee. Even with assistance from a weekday aide who helped keep her home tidy, Karen remained active, visiting neighbors and shopping frequently. She was closely connected to her family, with her sister and brother checking in on her often and daily phone calls keeping their bond strong.

Karen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a host of family and friends, including many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Her spirit and love for her community will always be remembered.
