Katherine E. Roebuck

Katherine E. Roebuck, age 82, passed away on January 4, 2025. She was born on June 19, 1942, to her loving parents, the late Stanley C. Johnson, Sr., and Dorothy (nee Ehrlich) Johnson. Katherine was first married to the late Victor C. Plumb, with whom she later divorced, and then remarried to the late John Paul Roebuck.

A devoted mother, she is survived by her beloved daughter, Michele (nee Plumb) Kanaris (John), and cherished grandsons, Simon J. and John Paul Kanaris. Katherine was the dear sister of Marlene Koethe and was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley C. Johnson, Jr.

Katherine had a passion for solving mysteries before the end of a book or movie, besting her family in card games, and lovingly caring for many cats, dogs, and horses over the years. She had a remarkable talent for putting beautiful touches on anything she shared, filling her with pride and joy to make every detail memorable for friends and family—whether giving a gift or hosting a gathering. She also loved sharing stories about her talented grandsons with anyone she met. Katherine had a special fondness for daisies and wildflowers, which reflected her bright and enduring spirit. 

Katherine’s life was filled with love, laughter, and wit, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 11 a.m. until the service begins at 11:30 a.m. at Middleburg Heights Community United Church of Christ 7165 Big Creek Parkway, Middleburg Heights, Ohio 44130. A luncheon will follow, and all are welcome to join in sharing a meal and memories of Katherine. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Katherine's name to a local animal shelter.
