Lois Eileen Kunzelman

Lois (Tippy) Eileen Farrar Kunzelman, 92 years old, went to be with her heavenly family on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Lois was the daughter of the late Grover and Jesse Farrar from Byesville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph E. Kunzelman. She was the youngest daughter of 13 siblings. Lois lived most of her adult life in Lakewood, Ohio where she had two children that she was so proud of, Joseph Warren Kunzelman (Bonnie), and Joyce Dorothy O’Malley (Jim) along with three grandchildren; Ronald Joseph Cornett (Monica), Braden Joseph Kunzelman (Tara), and Brian David Kunzelman (Jill). Lois was especially proud to be a great grandmother to Landen and Audrey Kunzelman, along with Ashley and Katie Kunzelman. Her nephew David Peters was also like another son to her. During her life, Lois worked at Hough Bakery where she loved to greet customers with a smile. She also enjoyed many years of being a school crossing guard on the corner of Summit and Clifton Ave. in Lakewood where the kids adored her and called her Mrs. “K”. Lois will be deeply missed by many but she is now at rest. She received extremely good care through hospice to help make her transition go more smoothly. Lois was a long time Friend of Bill, where donations in her name can be sent to: AA Central Office, 1557 St. Clair Ave, NE, Cleveland, Ohio 44114 and/or the McCartney Scholarship Fund for a fallen Vietnam Marine at Lakewood United Methodist Church. Please send your check made payable to Lakewood United Methodist Church, 15700 Detroit Ave, Lakewood, Ohio 44107, with the McCartney scholarship fund written in the memo. The family asks that you honor Lois’ life with a big bowl of your favorite ice cream, a bag of potato chips, and a polka! She would have loved that. There will be no services at this time. Plans are to “take her home” to Byesville, Ohio this summer.

Arrangements under the care and direction of Slone & Co. Funeral Directors.
