Born to Luz M. Melendez, Marcos brought joy and happiness not only to his children and grandchildren but also to his mother, who loved him dearly and was a guiding presence throughout his life. He was a loving partner to Lisa Reyes, with whom he shared a deep and meaningful connection, creating a bond that would forever be etched in their hearts.

As a devoted father to his two children, Janay Gordon and Miguel A. Melendez, Marcos instilled in them the values of love, compassion, and perseverance. As a grandfather to Ery, Amaura, and Isaiah, he filled their lives with boundless affection and tender care, leaving them with a legacy of love that will endure through generations.

Family was the cornerstone of Marcos's life. He was a brother to Providencia Nieves, Jose Melendez, Luis Melendez, Jacqueline Melendez, Sadibel Rosa, and Carmen Coroju. The bond he shared with his siblings was unbreakable, and he treasured each moment spent with them.

Marcos was not just an uncle by name; he was a guiding figure and a friend to Anna Medina, Yvette Cordero, Luz Cordero, Candido Cordero, Amanda Melendez, Judith Melendez, Seth Melendez, Javier Irrizary, Brandon Rosa, Destiny Badillo, Julio Martinez, Edwin Martinez, Angel Martinez, Justin Melendez, Luis Melendez Jr., Joshua Melendez, Jose A. Melendez, Jarret Melendez, Ramon Rodriguez, Eduardo Novoa, Joshua Ramgoolam, and Abiud Ramgoolam. His presence in their lives will be dearly missed.

Among his many passions, Marcos found solace and joy in fishing, a hobby that allowed him to connect with nature and himself. The art of cooking was another of his talents, and he delighted in preparing meals for his loved ones. Above all, he cherished spending time with his children, creating unforgettable memories that will be cherished by them forever.
