Maria Nguyễn Thị Phú

Mrs. Maria Nguyễn Thị Phú, age 74, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 12:53 pm with her son and daughter-in-law by her side. Her final days were spent surrounded by loving family and church community, friends and neighbors.

She was born on December 15, 1946, Thái Bình, Vietnam, the eldest of the late Nguyễn Quang Xuân and the late Đinh Thị Thềm. She immigrated to the United States in 1980. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Nguyễn Văn Hợp.

She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. Her interests included gardening, sewing, traveling, and cooking for her family, friends, and community. She was famous for her bánh chưng (traditional chung cake). She was very active in her church community and fundraising events.
