Matthew Stephen Pochedly

Matthew Stephen Pochedly "Matty" found peace after his courageous battle with cancer on July 23, 2018 with his children at his side. Born on July 27, 1953 in Ravenna Ohio, he lived in Hiram his entire life, where he farmed. He attended Crestwood High School and The Ohio State University. Matt was an avid golfer and sports fan, especially to his Cleveland Indians. Matt was best known for his gregarious laugh and congeniality that was always welcomed by friends and family alike. He enjoyed traveling and took many road trips with his longtime friend Sandy. Matt was preceded in death by his parents Matthew and Elma, his granddaughter Gracie and brother in law Jeff. Matt leaves behind his loving children Ashley (Dustin), Emily and Charlie; his grandchildren Ali, Evan, Logan, and Jordan; his sisters Vicki (Phil), Sandy (Jeff), Patty (Jay) and many dear nieces, nephews and cousins. A private memorial ceremony will be held at a later date.
