Miguel A. Vega, affectionately known as Guelo, passed away on January 4, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on July 7, 1937, in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, to the late Ceferino Vega Colon and Serafina Colon.
Miguel was the beloved husband of Iris Vega, sharing a lifetime of love and companionship. He was a devoted father to Alexis Vega (Deceased), Michael Vega, and Mark Vega. Miguel's presence was a guiding light in the lives of his family, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A cherished grandfather to Brandon Vega, Miguel took joy in the special moments shared with his grandson. He was not only a family man but also a dear brother to many and a treasured uncle to a host of nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Miguel had a passion for life that was reflected in his love for billiards, his skillful play of the guitar, and his genuine appreciation for music and dance. His warm and welcoming spirit endeared him to those around him, creating lasting memories for all who had the privilege of being a part of his life.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday, January 8, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at Riverside Cemetery 3607 Pearl Rd. Cleveland, OH 44109. (Please meet at gates by 10:15 a.m.)
