Minerva Mestre

Minerva Mestre, age 68, passed away on January 18, 2025. She was born on September 27, 1956, in Manhattan, New York, to her loving parents, the late Angel and Ramona Mestre.

Beloved mother of Melissa (Luis), Francisco, Elvin (Mariel), Melinda (Terence), Maryellie (Nathan), and Jimmy (Staisie), Minerva was the cherished grandmother of Johnathan, Cameron, Angel, Glorialyce, Terence Jr., Terence III, Tay'veon, Nadia, Alyssia, Elvin Jr., Janiah, Nathan Jr., Jeremiah, Zion, Yaz-Bella, Yaz-Lynnette, Lilyanah, Kiaralise, and Kaylani. She was a proud great-grandmother to Zavian, the late baby G, and baby Grayer-Gresham, who is on the way.

She was the dear sister of Olga, Rosa, and Johnny, and was preceded in death by her siblings, Angel, Ramon, and Gloria. Minerva was also preceded in death by her beloved fiancé, Victor Nieves. A treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews, she was a loving friend to all who knew her.

Minerva had a passion for cooking and loved getting her hair, nails, and makeup done. She loved to dance, lend a helping hand, and relax in her rocking chair watching soap operas while enjoying the view from her window. Her kindness, warmth, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 10 a.m. Interment Riverside Cemetery.
