Neal Jerome Gray

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Neal Jerome Gray, who departed this life on January 8, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on November 14, 1946, at Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Fred and Eva Ruth Gray. Neal was a beloved member of the Cleveland community and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Neal devoted his career to the service and dedicating many years of service to the Cleveland Schools, where he made a lasting impact on the lives of countless students. His commitment to fostering knowledge and growth in young minds exemplified his passion for education.

Neal is survived by his cherished family and close friends Sister-in-law Gleneva Robinson, nephews Michael Robinson, Carl Robinson, Eddie Robinson, Terrance Robinson, Kenneth Robinson, and Claude Gray Jr., as well as his nieces, Lynne Robinson and JoAnn Robinson, and close friend Leslie Washington. His legacy will live on through them and through the lives he touched during his lifetime.

In addition to his parents Neal was preceded in death by his brothers Andrew Robinson and Claude Gray, and his close companion Tommie McIntosh.

Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to a remarkable man, but we take comfort in the memories shared and the legacy he leaves behind.
