Nekia Renee Pedro

Nekia Renee Pedro, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 15, 2025, in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Born on February 18, 1982, Nekia brought joy and laughter to the lives of all who knew her. Her spirit was as vibrant as the crafts she loved to create, and her passion for the outdoors found her often camping and embracing nature's beauty. Nekia also had a great love for music. 

Nekia is survived by her loving husband, Jose Pedro, who stood by her side through thick and thin; her devoted mother, Linda Wiseman; and her cherished sons, Jose Pedro Jr., Nicholas Huynh and Isaiah Pedro. In addition, she was a proud grandmother to Dominic Huynh and Vanya Huynh, who brought her immeasurable joy and love. Her siblings—Melissa Tabor, Robert Tabor, Samuel Tabor, Ella Thompson, Casandra Thompson, Frank Thompson, and Betty Thompson—endured life’s ups and downs hand in hand with her, and her role as a loving aunt to many will forever be remembered.

She was preceded in death by her dear son, Dominic Pedro, whose memory will forever remain a part of her legacy.

Nekia's kindness, creativity, and zest for life will be sorely missed. Those she leaves behind carry her spirit within their hearts, ensuring that her laughter and love will echo through the generations.

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
