Nicola Roberto was born, October 22, 1927, in Cleveland, Ohio; and passed onto his Heavenly Home, to be with his Lord on December 24, 2020.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Olga, of 45 years; his daughter, Gina Jo Lazar (Vince); and five stepchildren, Yvonne Rolf-Thomas (Bruce), Edward A. Rolf (Cindy Wong), Sharon A. Rolf, April L. Rolf (John Raumberger), and Laura J. Kocourek (John), several grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as a sister Concetta Roberto and many nieces and nephews.
Nicola was a Veteran of WWII, committing his life to Christ in 1972, and has diligently served the Lord since that time. He ministered to many people and served with the City Mission of Cleveland, as a prison chaplain, visiting those in the county jail and the State Prisons of Ohio. Nic corresponded with inmates and visited a number of prisons throughout the years, until he was unable to travel.
He is a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Temple in Millersburg, Ohio and Columbia Road Baptist Church in North Olmsted, Ohio, as well as The Gideons International, Holmes County Camp.
Nic retired from Mangill Chemical Company in 1992, and moved with his wife to Walnut Creek, Ohio. For the past two years he was a resident of Astoria Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Canton, Ohio.
