Nilda Esther Guzman Plaud

Nilda Esther Guzman Plaud, age 78, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024. She was born on June 9, 1946, in Guayama, Puerto Rico, to her loving parents, the late Pascual Guzman and Rosa Plaud.

A devoted mother, Nilda is survived by her daughters, Yaritza Lopez, Rosa Lopez, and Ana Irizarry. She was a cherished grandmother to Felix Ahmed, Crystal Perez, James Smith, Selina DeJesus, Javier Flores, Angel Rojas, Agripino Serrano, Milagros Serrano, Cesar Irizarry III, Veronyka Irizarry, and Karyna Irizarry, as well as a beloved great-grandmother to Nazer Marisol Ahmed, Giuliana Perez, Kataryna Perez, Matias Ahmed, Abriella Smith, Axel Smith, Alberto DeJesus, Benito DeJesus, Jesus DeJesus, Ezra DeJesus, Saul DeJesus, Janalise Flores, Abel Flores, Luca Flores, and Jayce Fitzgerald.

Nilda was the dear sister of Maria Guzman Plaud, Luz Guzman Plaud, Carmen Guzman Plaud, and the late Pascual, Victor, Geraldo, and Rosa Guzman Plaud.

Nilda found joy in sewing, crocheting baby blankets, embroidery, and crafting aprons, leaving behind a legacy of love and creativity that will be treasured by her family forever. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 5 to 9 p.m., at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center 3556 W. 130th St. Cleveland, OH 44111, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
