Robert B. Brastajn

Robert B. Brastajn, a lifelong Cleveland resident, passed away on December 20, 2024. He was born on November 17, 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio, and was a devoted companion, father, and friend to many.

Robert cherished the time spent with his companion, Shirley Johnson, who provided him with support and love throughout their relationship. He was also a proud stepfather to Mary Ferko and a loving step-grandfather to Aliyah Plicka. His family extended through the strong bonds he shared with his sister Delores Carpenter and his nieces Mandy DiNardo, Valarie Magalski, Shannon Cushman, and Jaclyn Hardy as well as his late nephew James Carpenter. They each shared life’s joys and challenges with Robert, contributing to a deeper family connection that he valued greatly.

In addition to his immediate family, Robert was a loving uncle and great-uncle to a host of nieces and nephews. He also held a special friendship with Francine Givens and formed a treasured relationship with Kartier Williams, whom he affectionately referred to as "His Little Buddy." These relationships highlighted his kind spirit and the joy he found in those around him.

Robert is preceded in death by his father John Brastajn and his mother Teresita Meno. He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Elaine Brastajn, John Brastajn, William Brastajn, and Catherine Mismas. Their memories live on in the hearts of all who knew Robert.
