ROSEMARY KORTAN (nee Jandik) age 84, passed away September 13, 2012.
Beloved wife of the late Richard “Red”. They were married 56 years when he passed away. Loving mother of Linda Johnson and the late Bonnie Zsigo. Dearest grandmother of Holly Showalter, Natalie Johnson, Lisa Daniels, Nicole Thimke and Jerry Zsigo. Great-grandmother of 7. Daughter of Mary and John Jandik (both deceased). Sister in law of Shirley and Donald Kortan and Helen Jandik. "Rosemary wanted everyone to know she was laid to rest not knowing why her only brother Charles "Chuck" Jandik disowned her as a sister....how sad. May justice be served in the proper way to the evil person who hurt her." Rosemary retired with 35 years of service from Ohio Bell where she had many faithful friends. Rosemary loved to travel. She traveled with her husband to Switzerland, Austria, and flew the Concord to England. She also went on 5 cruises including a cruise on the Queen Mary to Greece. Rosemary also went on many bus tours with her husband and mother. She also traveled to Norway, Sweden and Denmark with her mother. Memorial Service Monday September 17, 2012 at 10am at the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted. Inurnment Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions may be made in Rosemary’s memory to Southwest Hospice 18659 Drake Rd., Strongsville, Ohio 44136.
