Rosetta Barfield

Rosetta Barfield, passed peacefully on May 13, 2024, at her home in Cleveland Ohio, at the age of 83. She was born in Thacker, West Virginia, to the late Iverson and Brooksie (nee Rutherford) Pauley, Sr., and was one of five children who blessed their union.

Rosetta found solace in the pages of books, embarking on countless adventures within the realms of her imagination. She found great joy in observing the myriad of birds that visited her yard and worshipping at her church, where her unwavering faith spoke volumes.

She was fortunate to have known true love through her marriage to her beloved husband Jack. Together, they were blessed with five children: Cynthia, Jack D., and David Barfield, and the late Rosalena Fiorenza and Dianne Whitt. As a devoted grandmother to Steven and Daniel Barfield, Rhiannon Murdoock, William and Shawn Barfield, Jessica Sanchez, Tiffany Matt, Dillan, and Joshua Barfield, she was blessed with immeasurable joy and held a special place in her heart for her great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and daughters, Rosetta is reunited with her dear sisters, Evalena Doran and Linda Figuerora, while being remembered by her surviving brothers, Hershel and Iverson Pauley, Jr. Her kindness extended beyond her immediate family as she embraced the roles of aunt and great-aunt with warmth and love.

Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 11 am until the time of service at 12:30 pm at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors, 13115 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44111. Interment Riverside Cemetery.
