Ruby L. Jones, age 86, passed away on October 1, 2021. She was born on September 14, 1935 in Parma, Missouri to the late Emerson Amos Mays and Lela Graham Mays. Ruby was a faithful member of Second Calvary Missionary Baptist Church for over 36 years. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving daughter, Sherri L. Jones; Godson, Bobby (Teri) Hopkins, Jr.; siblings, Jewel Dean Mays Williams and Mildred B. Mays Powell; God Grandchildren, Sydney Hopkins and Bobby Hopkins, III; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Lester V. Jones; siblings, James Amos Mays, Jerry Edward Mays and Christine Mays Brown. Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors, 13115 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44111. Interment in West Park Cemetery.
