Sally Ann Shea (nee Vejdovec), our adored matriarch was reunited with her loving husband, James, on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was 87 years old. 

She was the beloved wife of the late James F., and leaves behind to remember her, four sons, James, Jr. (Susan), Michael (Elaine), Richard (Jennifer) and William (Patricia); her nine grandchildren, James (Valerie), Jacqueline, Zachary (Jennifer), Daniel (Chloe), Brittany, Victoria (Walter), William, Jr. (Randi), Martin and MaryAnn (Dan Stregl), and her great-grandchildren.

Her death reunites her with her parents, William and Mary Ellen (Nee Hallett) Vejdovec, and her siblings, Betty (Lloyd) Barnes and William E. Vejdovec. Her passing also reunites her with all her adored cats and dogs.

Sally will always be remembered for her love of violets, reading, animals, as well as her love of classical music and her enjoyment of British things including Downton Abbey. Family stories will always remind us that Sally had a wild side, but had a fierce love for her family. Her death, although sad for those she has left behind, brings her peace, because grandpa has finally come back to get her. 

Family and friends are welcomed to come remember Sally TUESDAY, AUGUST 1ST FROM 2-4 & 6-8 PM AT SLONE & CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 13115 LORAIN AVENUE, where a Prayer Service will close out the evening at 8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 2nd at 10AM at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, 10205 Lorain Avenue (At West Blvd.). (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH BY 9:45 AM). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
