Shannon R. Bowers

Shannon R. Bowers, age 48, passed away on November 4, 2024. Born on January 8, 1976, in Cleveland, Ohio, Shannon was the beloved daughter of the late Sharon Liles and Cecil Bowers. She was a loving sister to Rachael Sommer (Josh) and the late Matthew Bowers, and a treasured aunt to Jack Bowers, Presley Sommer, and Addison Sommer. Cherished granddaughter of the late Janet and Samuel Liles, Shannon also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A true gift of God sent to this world to bless, heal, and change lives—one special angel to her loving family. Shannon was a proud gold medalist in the Special Olympics and an enthusiastic fan of the Browns, Indians, and Cavs. Halloween was her favorite holiday, and she had a special love for watching scary movies. Her light and love will be missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Christ Church 23080 Royalton Rd. Columbia Station 44028. A celebration of life will be held following the service from 4 to 8 p.m., at the American Legion Post 91 American Legion Pkwy Berea, OH 44017. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Special Olympics Ohio.
