Shirley M. Robinson

Shirley M. Robinson, 88, of Franklin passed away on August 10th, 2017 at 12:05 pm at Holy Family Hospice in Parma, Ohio.

Born on March 26th, 1929 in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late Mead C. and Viola E. Richey Robinson, SR.

After she graduated from Altoona High School, she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh.

Shirley was an assistant director of the endocrine lab for 30 years at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was a member of the East Grove United Methodist Church in Franklin where she was on multiple committees. She was a volunteer with Mustard Seed Missions of Venango County. She was on the board of directors for the ABC Life Center.

Shirley is survived by her sister, Jacqueline Robinson of Parma, OH; her sister-in-law Ruth Robinson Freeman of Franklin; her nieces and nephews Sandra Dulaney and husband Kevin, Mead Charles Robinson, Sr and wife Deb, Kristin Graham and husband Bryan, Patrick Graff, Robert E. Robinson, Jr, Karen Tiberi and husband Art, Timothy Robinson and wife Holly, Tammy Springli and husband Robert, 15 great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers Mead C. and Robert E. Robinson and a sister-in-law June E. Robinson.

Friends are invited to the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at the funeral home with Rev. Drew Bell of East Grove United Methodist Church and Rev. Lea Guiney of Union City United Methodist Church co-officiating.

Interment will be in Cochranton Cemetery.
